ACME Shoemaker’s new lazyman wholecut is a stunner of a shoe! And I don’t even love lazyman styles, to be quite honest. Even more so, these colors are not something I would ever put together, but the shoe stopped me in my tracks and made me say, ‘Wow, that’s a beauty.’
This is not their first run at a wholecut ‘lazyman’ style. But it would appear the first time they added the gussets in this style, on both sides. Their previous versions had different elastic offerings, one looking like a short chelsea boot and the other looking like an Italian window panel that opens outward. This is my favorite as it presents the cleanest look IMHO.

The lazyman wholecut has gained popularity in recent years as people want the best of all worlds: dressy yes easy to put on. This is what you get when you blend those ideas. Even better is the blank canvas you have to play around with unique patina styles, such as you see here. ACME shoemaker does not stem from a patina background but their coloring artists have done a great job at creating unique patina’s that are quite ‘ACME style’.
This new option would appear to be an MTO/Bespoke only style as I do not see it in their current RTW line up. While the colors of this particular one are cool for the fact that they are unique, I would probably not use this colorway myself for my own styling. But I would love to see what other colors they could put together. A nice dark grey/red would be curious. Or maybe this orange/tan and a navy. That would be striking!
ACME Shoemaker’s new lazyman wholecut continues to show why the Chinese shoe brand is among the leaders of the industry.

I love that ACME continues to push the boundaries in terms of shoe design and patina colorways. I think this is a beautiful design ( not a suprise if you see my shoe collection) and already emailed Authur to inquire about these shoes. Thank you for sharing.
Nice one! Happy to help, remember to let them know who inspired you 😉
I let Author know where I saw them. I always give your credit
