Whole Cut Oxfords
New whole cut oxfords seem to be a thing this season as yet another brand offers new variations of the classic, formal model. Once again, the whole cut model is made on a round last, where traditionally it was offered in chisel lasts only. I quite enjoy the round last version. Truth be told, I see it as less formal on a round last but prefer that as you can then dress it down, so to speak. They have 5 new variations of their whole cut, with three on the Van Gogh last and two on the Goya.

Single Monks
The single monk is probably my favorite of the new models at TLB Mallorca, in both of its variations offered. I think that it was smart to add the medallion on the calfskin version while going sans-medallion on the suede. That is smart thinking and good attention to detail. And I love both. Truth be told, for some reason, my appeal to the ‘British Style’ single monk has been growing as of late. In the past, I was not a huge fan of this chunkier single monk style with a larger buckle. But as time goes on, we start to see this design given a more sleek look, as TLB Mallorca nailed on their 303 and 304 models.

Chiseled Double Monks
TLB Mallorca drops some new classic, black version of the chiseled double monk. This is a no-brainer shoe for any shoe brand as double monks have become quite popular in recent years. Being smart about people’s desires, they offer nearly identical models while one has a clean cap toe and the other has a punched cap toe. Therefore, they capture the desires of both clients! Smart move TLB!

Tall Chukkas
I found their newer chukkas to be quite intriguing. One might notice this but their chukka boots are slightly taller than your average chukka. And this has nothing to do with the amount of eyelets but rather the height above the top eyelet being extending higher than your average chukka boot. This is a subtle design detail but a choice that nonetheless separates this model from the rest. And that is not easily achieved in a chukka boot. Another top choice by TLB!
