Corthay x Asics - A Historic Collab

Who would have ever thought to see a Corthay x Asics collaboration? They are two brands that live on opposite sides of the shoe realm but came together to create some unique ‘sneaker shoes.’ They have three models in this new collection; one more classic as a dress shoe style and two more in tune with your classic Asics sneaker. Personally speaking, I actually like the sneaker model better. Turning dress shoes into sneaker-style shoes with a proper heel has never really done it for me.

The Corthay x Asics collab just launched today but it is all very hush-hush. I say that because while you can learn about it on Corthay’s website and Instagram, you cannot get much info outside of a private DM and/or visiting one of their stores. The collaborative collection is labeled as a ‘very limited exclusive edition’ so I presume that the stock offering will be small. And in a perfect world for them, it will go quickly. That being, if this interests you it would be best to get on the DM list ASAP and enquire for your pair/s.

While I am sure this collab would go above my pay grade, I would definitely wear all of the colors in the ‘hybrid’ model that has the dark uppers with the colored soles. That one offers a great twist on a classic Asics, keeping it sleek and elegant yet still sporty and versatile. Its Corthay-esque coloring makes it very intriguing. That is what I like about these types of collaborations; the ability to smarten up a casual shoe.
