The Crockett & Jones SS2025 Collection is unlike any other collection they have ever released. It might have more color than Crockett & Jones has ever dared to attempt and I love it. It is great to see them fuse the classics with something bold, bright, and fun. It won’t be for everyone but will sure appeal to a new client that Crockett & Jones might have neglected in the past. Not anymore!

Crockett & Jones SS2025 Collection

Gum Rubber Wedge Sole
The new feature of the Crockett & Jones SS2025 Collection is the new gum rubber wedge sole. This ‘comfort casual’ sole is in line with the direction of the shoe industry, offering cushioned appeal while still maintaining an air of elegance. Paired with suede, it creates a perfect Summer combination and this is exactly what Crockett & Jones did this season on almost all of their new offerings. I think this new sole style looks quite cool on many of the models. Naturally, it won’t go with everything but when paired right, it is a great accent sole that differentiates itself from the rest of the industry’s offering.

Pistachio and Pastel Blue Suede
A new suede offering in the Crockett & Jones SS2025 Collection has taken shape in the form of pastel-colored suedes. That is not a sentence I thought that I would have ever written as Crockett & Jones has been among the most conservative brands known to our industry. However, year by year, they seem to be breaking away from the ‘No Brown in Town’ concept that shaped London (English) shoe firms for years and kept their collections very monotone. Not anymore! Crockett & Jones welcoming pastel-colored shoes in their collections is a sign of the items changing! While I don’t love the blue, I do really like that Pistachio!

Tresco
The Tresco is the only new model lined up for the Crockett & Jones SS2025 Collection. It is a fun and catchy cap toe that appears to have four pieces but only has one real seam and rather decorative stitching for the cap and counter. The lack of seams, particularly in the cap region, coupled with the fact that it is suede, mounted atop the new sole, will ensure maximum comfort. The Tresco must be the traditionalist who loves a good oxford but looking to tone it down a bit, adding some flair in the color and sole regions.
I can see the Khaki version being a big hit!

Salcombe 2
I love the new Salcombe 2 edition. This is my favorite of the Crockett & Jones SS2025 Collection. It is odd, but I really feel like the new gum wedge sole suits this pattern better than the previous version which has a leather sole. For me, a Venetian loafer is more fun, playful, and ultimately more casual. And the new sole lends to that idea better than a leather sole does. I would make all of the Salcombe’s become Salcombe 2’s. I can see this being a huge seller. I love all of the color options but those Pistachio suede ones are something else!

Conclusion
It is a new day when we get to see colors and ideas this bold and casual coming from Crockett & Jones. And that is a good thing, especially for their fans who are probably going to the office less and are looking for more casual yet quintessentially British options. So, it is a win-win for all. Well done to Crockett & Jones for really branching out this season!
